Andarine S4 is a Second Generation Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator (SARM). Sarms are closely related to active anabolic steroids. They bind to the same cellular androgen receptor (AR), and impart similar anabolic effects.
However, like Andarine S4, most SARMS are non-steroidal in structure. They are also highly selective in their interactions with the receptor.
There is also no estrogen conversion and it is unlikely to interfere with other hormones.
